Role: Elroi Principal and Founder

Qualifications: BSc Mathematics; PGCSE

Primary Role: Founder & FET Principal

Pieter leads Elroi Academy with a clear passion for education, mentorship and learner development. His heart is to see young people grow not only academically, but also in their thinking, confidence and purpose.

As the founder and academic leader of Elroi Academy, he helps shape the vision of an online education provider where learners are seen, supported and guided toward their future.

Ingrid teaches Computer Applications Technology and supports learners in the Senior Phase. Her approach is centred on seeing the student first, communicating clearly and celebrating improvement.

She enjoys helping learners develop practical digital skills while building confidence in their ability to grow.

  Being homeschooled was a different experience for me. Although I didn’t enjoy it very much, it was manageable and I was able to cope with the work. The teachers were supportive and explained the content well, which made learning easier. One teacher who stood out in particular was my Tourism teacher Mrs.Lize Kok, who was passionate and made the subject more interesting and enjoyable, please give her a raise if possible. Overall, while homeschooling was not my preferred learning environment, it still provided me with a stable education and helpful teachers
